Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Your browser draws each page and saves it as an image, on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
Which resolution should I choose?
Screen (72 dpi) is enough for a quick preview or a message. Standard (150 dpi) suits most uses. Print (300 dpi) gives the sharpest result but much larger files.
JPG or PNG?
JPG makes smaller files and is best for photos and scans. PNG keeps text and lines perfectly sharp, at the cost of larger files.
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. Every page starts selected; click the ones you don’t need to leave them out.
Why is a page smaller than expected?
Browsers can’t draw images above a certain size. For very large pages, such as posters or plans at 300 dpi, the image is made a little smaller and the result tells you so.
