Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. The files are read and merged by your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else, and the tool keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
Is there a limit on the number or size of files?
There is no limit set by us. The only limit is your device’s memory: a recent phone handles dozens of ordinary documents, and a computer handles much more.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Yes, if you know the password. Type it when asked and the file is included. The merged PDF has no password; you can add one afterwards with Protect PDF.
What is kept from the original files?
Every page is copied as it is: text, images, fonts, links and annotations, with the original quality. Bookmarks (the outline panel) are not carried over, and fillable form fields may stop being fillable.
Can I merge only some pages of a file?
This tool merges whole files. To keep only some pages, first use Extract PDF pages or Delete PDF pages, then merge the results.
