Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is read and split by your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
How do I write page ranges?
Separate them with commas: 1-3, 5, 8-10 makes three files. A range can stay open, so 4- means page 4 to the end. A page can appear in more than one range.
Does splitting lower the quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, with their text, images and fonts unchanged. Bookmarks and fillable form fields may not be carried over.
Why do I get a ZIP file?
When the split creates several PDFs, they are packed into one ZIP so your browser downloads a single file. Open it to find each PDF, named after its pages.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Yes, if you know the password. Type it when asked; the new files have no password. You can add one afterwards with Protect PDF.
