Frequently asked questions
Is my list uploaded anywhere?
No. Duplicates are removed in your browser, so your list never leaves your device. That makes it safe for email addresses, customer names or other private data.
Does it keep the original order?
Yes. Lines stay in the order you pasted them. Only the repeated copies are removed. To put the list in order as well, use the sort lines tool.
What do “the first one” and “the last one” change?
When a line appears several times, the first option keeps it where it first appears, and the last option keeps it where it last appears. The rest of the list keeps its order either way.
Are empty lines treated as duplicates?
No. Blank lines are left where they are, so paragraphs and groups keep their shape. Tick “Remove empty lines” to delete them all.
Is there a size limit?
There is no fixed limit. Lists with hundreds of thousands of lines are handled in a moment on a recent device.
