How it works
-
Add your PNG files
Drop one PNG or a whole batch, choose them, or paste a screenshot straight from your clipboard.
-
Pick quality and background
JPG has no transparency, so choose the color that fills see-through areas (white by default). Set the quality to balance size and sharpness.
-
Download the JPGs
See how much lighter each file got, compare before and after, then download them one by one or in a zip file.
Frequently asked questions
Why convert a PNG to JPG?
PNG keeps every pixel exactly, which makes photos stored as PNG very large. JPG is designed for photos: at a good quality setting the file is usually several times smaller and looks the same. Many forms and websites also accept only JPG.
What happens to the transparent background?
JPG can’t store transparency. Transparent and semi-transparent areas are blended onto the background color you choose, white by default, so edges stay smooth.
Should I convert logos and screenshots to JPG?
Usually not. Text, flat colors and sharp edges can show small smudges in JPG. For those, keep PNG or convert to WebP, which is both small and sharp. JPG is best for photos.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The conversion runs inside your browser with MozJPEG compiled to WebAssembly, so your images stay on your device.
Can I convert many PNG files at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like: they are converted side by side on your device, and you can download them all together in a zip file.
