Excel to PDF
Turn a spreadsheet into a PDF that’s easy to share, print and read on any device, without sending it anywhere.
Sealed on this device
Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Sealed
Your spreadsheet
Your spreadsheet is converted on this device. It’s never uploaded, so it stays private.
How it works
-
Choose your spreadsheet
Drop an XLSX file or pick one from your device, up to 50 MB. It’s read right here, in your browser.
-
Adjust the pages
Each sheet is laid out with the print settings saved in the file. Change the paper size, orientation, scaling or margins, and the preview follows.
-
Save as PDF
Click Save as PDF, then choose “Save as PDF” in the print window. On a phone, the print options let you save or share the PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Is my spreadsheet uploaded?
No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser: the workbook is read on your device and never sent to our server or anyone else.
Are all sheets included?
Every visible sheet is included, one after the other. Hidden sheets, rows and columns are left out, and you can untick the sheets you don’t need.
How can I fit a sheet on one page?
In Page setup, choose “Fit all columns on one page” so that no column spills onto an extra page, or “Fit each sheet on one page” for a one-page summary. By default, the print area, title rows, orientation and scaling saved in your file are used.
Which files can I convert?
Excel workbooks in the .xlsx format (also .xlsm and .xltx), up to 50 MB. For an older .xls file or an .ods, open it in Excel, LibreOffice or Google Sheets, save it as .xlsx, then convert the new file.
Will formulas still work in the PDF?
A PDF shows the results of your formulas, as your spreadsheet app saved them. The formulas themselves aren’t kept, so keep the original file if you need to edit the numbers.
What isn’t included?
Charts, page headers and footers, comments and conditional formatting aren’t reproduced. Numbers, dates and amounts keep their format, written with the separators of the language of this page.
