Upscale an image with AI
Make a small picture two or four times bigger. The AI rebuilds edges and textures instead of simply stretching the pixels.

How it works
-
Add your images
Drop small photos, logos, screenshots or illustrations. Several at once is fine.
-
Choose 2× or 4× and upscale
The AI enlarges the image piece by piece on your device and shows the time left. The first run also downloads the model.
-
Compare and download
Drag the slider to compare with a plain enlargement, then download each image or all of them in a zip file.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from resizing?
Ordinary resizing spreads the existing pixels over a bigger area, which looks soft or blocky. The AI model, Swin2SR, has learned what sharp edges and textures look like and redraws them at the new size.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The Swin2SR model (Apache 2.0 licence) is downloaded to your browser and runs on your own device. Your images never leave it.
Why does it take so long?
Upscaling with AI takes a lot of computing, and here it all happens on your own device rather than on a powerful server. A small image takes seconds; a large one at 4× can take several minutes. You can cancel at any time.
Should I choose 2× or 4×?
Use 2× for clean sources such as screenshots, logos and illustrations: it stays very faithful. Use 4× for small or slightly noisy photos: that model also smooths out noise and compression artifacts.
Can AI recover details that aren’t in the photo?
Not really. It makes edges and textures look natural at the larger size, but it can’t read a blurry licence plate or reveal a face that wasn’t visible. Faces and text may come out slightly different from reality.
Is transparency kept?
Yes. The colors are enlarged by the AI and the transparency is enlarged separately, so PNG and WebP images keep their see-through areas.
