Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The numbers are added by your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

Can I skip the cover page?

Yes. Choose the page to start on, for example page 2, and the number it should show. Earlier pages stay without a number.

What about pages turned sideways?

Numbers are placed on each page as you see it, so a landscape or rotated page gets its number in the right corner, the right way up.

Does it work with any language?

Yes. Styles such as “Page 1 of 12” use the words and digits of the page language, in every script.

Is the rest of the PDF changed?

No. Text, images, links and bookmarks stay as they were; only the numbers are added on top of each page.

Install One For All on your computer

One For All then opens in its own window, like an app, straight from your desktop or home screen. Nothing to download from a store, and your files still stay on your device.

  1. Click the install icon at the right of the address bar, or open the browser menu (⋮).
  2. Choose “Install One For All” or “Install page as app”: a shortcut is added to your desktop and your apps.

Download this tool’s engine?

This tool works entirely in your browser. To do that, it needs to download the items below from One For All, just once. They are then kept on this device, so next time the tool starts right away.

Your files are never sent anywhere.
