    How it works

    1. Paste your addresses

Paste the full addresses of the pages you want search engines to find, one per line, from a spreadsheet or your CMS.

    2. Choose the details

Optionally add a last modified date, a change frequency and a priority. Invalid lines and duplicates are flagged.

    3. Download and submit

Download sitemap.xml, upload it to the root of your site, then submit it in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is an XML sitemap?

It’s a file that lists the pages of your website so search engines can find them, especially new pages or pages with few links pointing to them. It doesn’t guarantee that every page gets indexed, but it helps.

Where should I put the sitemap?

Upload it to the root of your site, for example https://example.com/sitemap.xml. Then submit it in Google Search Console and add a Sitemap line to your robots.txt file.

Are lastmod, changefreq and priority required?

No, only the address is required. Google uses lastmod when it’s consistently accurate, and ignores changefreq and priority. Leave them out rather than filling them with guesses.

How many URLs can a sitemap contain?

Up to 50,000 addresses and 50 MB uncompressed. For larger sites, split your pages into several sitemaps and list them in a sitemap index file.

Can this tool crawl my website?

Not yet. This version builds the sitemap from a list you paste, entirely in your browser, so nothing is sent anywhere. You can export the list of pages from your CMS, your analytics or a spreadsheet.

    Are special characters handled?

Yes. Addresses are encoded the way browsers do it, and characters like & are escaped, so the XML file stays valid.

Install One For All on your computer

One For All then opens in its own window, like an app, straight from your desktop or home screen. Nothing to download from a store, and your files still stay on your device.

    1. Click the install icon at the right of the address bar, or open the browser menu (⋮).
    2. Choose “Install One For All” or “Install page as app”: a shortcut is added to your desktop and your apps.

    Download this tool’s engine?

This tool works entirely in your browser. To do that, it needs to download the items below from One For All, just once. They are then kept on this device, so next time the tool starts right away.

Your files are never sent anywhere.
