Dynamic QR codes need a free account
A dynamic QR code points to a short address on our site that forwards to your destination. That address is saved in a free account, so you can change it later.
- Change the destination at any time, even after printing
- Your colors, shapes and logo, downloaded in PNG or SVG
- Daily scans, devices and countries, without tracking anyone
Just need a code that never changes? Use the free QR code generator, no account needed.
How it works
-
Enter the destination
Type the web address your code should open, and give it a name if you like.
-
Style and download
Pick colors and shapes, add a logo, then download the code in PNG or SVG and print it.
-
Change it anytime
Need to point it somewhere else? Edit the destination in your account. The printed code keeps working, and you can follow the scans day by day.
Frequently asked questions
What is a dynamic QR code?
It’s a QR code that contains a short address on our site instead of your final destination. When someone scans it, we forward them to the destination you chose, which you can change at any time without reprinting the code.
Is it free? Does the code expire?
It’s free, with a free account. The code keeps working until you pause or delete it, or until a last day or scan limit you set yourself.
What do you record when someone scans my code?
Only counters per day: the number of scans, the device type, the browser family and, when our network provider tells us, the country. We never store IP addresses, cookies or anything that could identify a person.
Static or dynamic: which one should I use?
A static code contains your content directly and works forever without any server, but can’t be changed. A dynamic code can be edited and counts scans, but relies on our forwarding address. For a Wi-Fi password or a fixed text, a static code is enough.
Can I download my code in high resolution?
Yes. Download it as PNG up to 2048 pixels, or as SVG, which stays sharp at any size and is ideal for print.
Why might people who scan my code see a confirmation page?
To protect them against phishing. During the first 30 days of your account, people who scan your code see the destination and confirm it before going there. Later, whenever you change the destination to another site, they confirm the new destination for 7 days, so a printed code can never switch silently to a different site. Moving to another page of the same site doesn’t trigger it.
