Frequently asked questions
Will the PNG be sharp at a large size?
Yes. An SVG is drawn from shapes, not pixels, so it’s rendered directly at the size you choose. A 4× PNG is as crisp as the original vector.
Is the background transparent?
By default, yes, for PNG and WebP. You can also fill it with white or any color. JPG has no transparency, so it always gets a background color.
Is my SVG file uploaded?
No. The conversion happens in your browser. Your file stays on your device and is never sent to a server.
Why do some texts or images in my SVG look different?
For security, browsers draw an SVG in isolation: it can’t load external fonts, images or stylesheets. Fonts that aren’t installed on your device are replaced. To keep the exact look, convert texts to outlines and embed images in the SVG before converting.
Is it safe to open an SVG from an unknown source?
SVG files can contain scripts. Before drawing anything, this tool cleans the file and removes scripts, event handlers and links, so only the drawing itself is used.
What is the maximum size?
It depends on your browser’s limits, usually around 12,000 pixels per side. If you ask for more, the tool reduces the size automatically and lets you know.
